So, in the last 3years I have had 2 different amber scanning LED bars. Both bars have gone up within 1-1/2 years. Its not the wiring, as I had the dealer do it, and then had it checked by two audio shops, solid 12V lead with fuse, solid Ground..Wiring, Fuse, everything rock solid.

But the bars just go out. The RAMS have a very finicky lighting and voltage system I have been told, and it seems these bars don't agree...

I called the company, GORECON, and got a "Sorry, its a year old, out of warranty", and was offered free-shipping on a new bar..Gee Thanks..

So, just a heads up that you might want to look elsewhere for a lighting product, as my experience has been a bit of a shortfall..

 

Even though the dealership did the wiring, I still wouldn't have faith in all of that. But since you had to audio shops check it out, sounds fine. Was any corrosion found, did they solder/heat shrink all connections? Where are they drawing power from?

 

I have a GoRecon WhiteLightning tailgate bar. i've just plugged it into my 4-pin trailer plug with loads of dielectric grease so I'll never have any issue's. I've tapped the reverse wire into my aftermarket back-up lights with dielectric grease and wrapped a baggie around the connector and taped the heck out of it. i doubt there will ever be any issue's.
Sounds like your wiring has caused the problems.
A bad ground kills the cathode end of the LEDs and severely diminishes their lifespan. The arching of contact-no contact is bad news.
I dont see how the Rams electrical system has anything to do with it??? If the Ram provided a much higher voltage, that is the only way the LED bar could get burnt out, but then the fuse would pop. A lower voltage would actually allow the LED's to last longer....

Scanning Ambers? Those are wicked pricey...OMG You bought one of those?
