I'm looking at getting my first truck. It'll be for mostly hauling horses, at least a 6 horse. This truck here kinda caught my eye, but I was wondering about the mileage on it:

Is this mileage quite high? How long do these engines tend to last. Also I noticed it's a 2011 and already has over 200,000kms (125,000miles) on it? Is this something to avoid? I really like the price, it's about around what I want to spend. What else should I be looking for or checking up on?

Thats alot of highway miles i bet .. lol 216K, beauty truck though. I would imagine those miles on a cummins is not bad at all. Are you able to find out who the last owner was / business and see what type of miles it would have been?

 

Ya i figured as much. I emailed the dealer today and asked if they can give me that info. Further investigation into the dealership kinda looks sketchy, like one of those really shady used car sales place. Not sure im confident with buying from a place like that without a full independent inspection, etc etc.
