2013 RAM Areodynamic Enhancements
Great ideas in reality...just wait until your warranty is up and something breaks. What happened to a truck being a truck? I personally think my 2009 is has to many electrical components. lol.
Has anyone seen what the sticker price is going to be on a 2013 Bighorn/SLT..let alone a sport?

There has been nothing released yet on it, other then the new components list. I have heard rumors of a release late september, if that's true I would imagine that we could see prices by the end of next month. I hope that it will not be too pricey, but I would assume it would have to compete with the other makes. I also do believe that the air ride is only an option. I do however hope that dodge is smart and makes that an option most of the 11 available models...Personally I like the the idea of a full air ride suspension, I just hope its not too pricey. I am not one of those guys who loves lifted trucks, around here in alberta people just throw money at their truck and just choose the lift and rims based on cost, not actually how it looks on the truck. Because of that I get thrown off a little bit, however I do like the idea of a leveled truck. With this air ride it will be easy to make that happen. Not to mention the ride quality should be awesome, and to couple that with a 3100 pound payload. It will really wake this truck up.
Active grill shutters seem to be proven on other models, RAM is the first to put it in a truck if I am not mistaken. I just hope that they can opperate in the blistering cold here in alberta :S
The only thing about these trucks that I am not liking too much is the "beefed" up computer system. We can hardly get a tune made for the 11-12 models. The 13 is gonna take years to crack if the computer is what it says its gonna be. Not to mention aftermarket power installs are hard enough as it is, let alone with a new computer. Although on the other side of things we could see much better response times from the sensors and stuff. Who knows...Also the other option I WILL NOT be getting is the stop/start technology. The hardest strain on the motor is during starting/stopping. Now to increase that cycle a CRAZY amount of times, I hope it doesn't screw things up...
I'll keep my '09 Sport for now, I'm not interested with to many bells and whistles either. I keep good tabs on maintenance, and I'm fortunate to have the lifetime powertrain warranty.
I agree with the active grille shutters, I live in a colder climate zone a third of the year, I really wonder how some components will function in sub-zero temps, especially with ice covering majority of the frint grille during winter.

I'm a little sceptical about the true benefit of the air shutters, especially on a Ram.
Firstly the narrator suggests it's a 'big rig' feature but the last time I drove truck they were closed to keep cold air out and the engine running warm. Had nothing to do with aero dynamics.
Secondly I recall back to the 69 era Chargers. They looked aerodynamic with their scooped and recessed grill but they weren't which is why for racing the Daytona had the big modified nose for the race track. Those shutters are just too far in from the face of the grill to do any good. With them closed, the front of the truck is just one big air scoop with no where for the air to exit resulting in drag - much like the 69 street Charger. I think it's more marketing gimmick than substance.
