Thanks a lot for the help, guys.

I've never even considered 9155's before. That extra ten watts isn't a problem for the wiring, then? If not, then that's an excellent tip. Thanks!

Yes, the (9155) ten extra watts are perfectly safe to run. I run my fogs fulltime, havent had an issue with wiring at all. I`ve had the 9155 in since the truck was brand new, and thats been over 2yrs now. (Phillips - Germany)

Some guys have been installing the 9005 hi-beam bulbs in the fogs, i think i`ll pass on that for 2 personal reasons... the fog light wiring dosent look heavy enough to me to install 65watt bulbs in there. Second reason, can you imagine what 65watt fog lights must look like coming at you at night...??? Besides that, i get the occasional hi beams from other drivers to dim my 55watt fogs an low beams, so i just flip the hi-beams at them and they calm down after that.

Some advice BEFORE you buy ANY halogen 9155 bulbs.
Phillips (germany) has the longest lasting 9155 bulb (got mine on ebay for $12pr s/h included)
Silverstar 9155 Ultra`s are sweet, but very pricey (retail is $50pair / Ebay-seen many start at $5.00pr)
Silverstar "Extreme" bulbs, repackaged ultra`s in a fancy plastic case (for the ricer kids but cost alot more)
PIAA`s way over rated, way over priced, dont last any longer either.

If you buy the $2 to $4 dollar 9155 bulbs off from ebay, those are made in china, and other over seas garbage bulb makers. I bought a few of those, they were either dead on arrival or didnt last more than a month, so dont even waste your time with those. They usually go under the name of CEC...CEC is junk. If made in usa or germany, buy them, those are much higher quality and will last longer. Wagner bulbs are hit an miss, napa has the 9155 for $10 bucks each. Ther are much better deals on the internet...EBAY

Last but not least....
these 4th gen headlights are aimed to low from the factory... adjust them higher, you`ll be glad you did.
I cranked my adjusters up 3 turns, made all the difference in the world...!

Pardon my naivete, but aren't the fairly cheap bulbs from the auto parts store just fine to use? Whenever an auto lamp went out I would just buy one and they always seemed to be reliable enough. Or is 9155 an odd bulb or something and only available online?

Im on my second set of hids on my fogs, when replacing the lights, I notice the wiring was retaining water Wich caused the ballast and wiring to get burnt up, I replaced that set, treated new set with electric jelly stuff on connections, and relocated to a spot where water won't find so easily, +6 months and they still work, I do have an issue on the same side as before, the fog on the left doesn't turn on right away intill the 3rd time I click the button

The 9155 is more popular in europe. Due to all the highway regulations here in the USA, the DOT dosent want people using anything brighter than a 45watt bulb in the fog lights.

Wagner and phillips have the better quality 9155 bulbs. Be aware that wagner is hit an miss, just depends on where wagner buys them from. I always try to buy phillips when i can, when i cant, wagner brand is the next one on my list.

Anything with the brand name of "CEC" on the box, >>>>> JUNK...PERIOD...!!!
