Postaltwo I highly doubt the Hemi can keep up, Remember he was a 2WD with an open rear end 3.21 (really light) racing a 4WD Ecoboost 3.55 (a lot heavier). The 12.874 @ 103.44 time Ecoboost 4WD 3.55 gearing would definitely blow the Hemi away. I think Austin is full of it if he beat an Eco standing still in his Hemi Sport, I haven't seen a Hemi run in the high 12's at all. Have you?

 

no but all these guys are running 93 tunes we havent had tunes for ours i have seen posted times from guys with light modded (intake\exhaust) in the mid 14's we will have to see what they do with a 93 tune

EcoBoost F-150 1/4 mile times i was impressed!!!!

Nick,i ran my F-150 XLT Supercab 4X4,EcoBoost,3.55 LS axle at the track on Sunday.I only made 3 passes First was a 15.16 at 93.50 Mph a 15.44 at 93.07 Mph and the last pass was a 14.97 at 93.25 Mph.I was happy with that pass when i left the track it had 700 miles on it.What did your truck run when you raced it?

in 5th or 6th gear when you give it some pedal it almost feels like its missing/skipping ....... of course they have to call the engineers

and they cant seem to get the tires balanced (replaced one already )

oil change , and a bath (living in the country she gets dirty )

 

Just ordered my Superchips Flashpaq tuner should be arriving today, those Fords are really in trouble now. I will definately be going to the track this Friday for some test n tune, I'll keep you guys posted if any ecoboosts want to play.

 

What was the reaction time on that ecoboost compared to yours?

Ecoboost reaction time was .573 with a 2.319 60' to my .231 and 2.289 60' time. Anyway in the famous words of Dominic Toretto "1/4...it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile" a win is a win.

 

Superchips installed.......Holy Crap now I know what all that hidden torque feels like down low. Damn that torque managment, no wonder we can barely chirp the tires off the line. I made a couple of test runs on a back road near by and smoked the tires half way through 1st gear. Before I could only do that on a wet road w/ traction control off. I set the 1-2 WOT rev. limiter at 6K and it has a nice firm shift to second. I can feel the 14's for sure if I can control the wheel spin, I'm totally stoked!!

Thanks to superchips I have a new personal best of 14.894 @ 94.68 mph w/ a 2.289 60' time. Just as I suspected traction is a big problem now, my OE 20' Goodyears have 46K miles on them and were screaming for mercy. Every pass I made had significant wheel spin for at least 20’; it looks like it is time for some new tires. So for before and after comparisons, my best time from my last visit with the stock tune under similar weather conditions was 15.261 @ 92.63 mph w/ a 2.301 60'. I am very happy with the improvements and feel that with better tires there is definitely room for a faster time. I didn't get to race an ecoboost this time but one did show up (FX4 CC) and ran an impressive 13.94 @ 94 mph. I had a chance to check out his rig and he is running an aftermarket exhaust, CAI, but not sure if it was tuned.
