I brought a 2012 RAM 1500 home this weekend. The small center display between the analog RPM and Speedometer has lots of good information but no digital MPH. Is there a modification that can be done to get a digital speed readout? Thanks in advance.

 

If you have nav you can get a digital GPS speed readout.

 

That is true but its not in a location that is convenient to look at. I get lots of Dodge rental cars and they all have a menu selection for digital speed in the center of the instrument cluster. Just wondering if there is a mod or upgrade that provides it.

Mopar does not offer such an upgrade. Not sure about anything aftermarket. Congrats on the new truck!

 

Does the new EVIC in the 2013 have it?

 

I test drove a new 2013 and digital MPH had it on its display. The 2012 Dodge Journey I have as a rental this week has it.

The 2013's were redesigned and do have it.

 

I wish my 2012 had a digital speedometer the way my GM car does. When I read that the 2013 trucks had this feature I asked my dealer if I could pay for a reprogramming to upgrade my 2012 to get the 2013 feature. The service writer said it couldn't be done. I don't know if he's right but it was the end of my road for attempting it.

The steering wheel blocks my view of the analog speedometer.
