Seriously? Drive it at 55-60mph; no more and it will get good mileage. Above that speed, mileage starts to drop, at least in my truck.

So the claims of the headers and k&n filters are just wise tales.

Full tube geaders and true duals would help. The air box on these trucks is super efficent. Nothing to do there. Not even a drop in K&N. Maybe a tune. But a lot of post about 'turners' and decreased fuel mileage. Super efficent tires and tight air psi. Biggest is YOUR driving style and habits. The truck is buil to be as fuel efficent as possable and still drive nice. Try to keep the MDS on as much as possable. I'm always at 19.5 to 20 mg in my truck. I'm in MDS mode I bet 85% of the time.

You drive a full size pick up, you are getting as good MPG as you can get. BAD!.

Seriously, there is no magic mod to improve MPG on trucks, if there was everyone would have it.

If you buy a truck, accept the mileage you get when you buy it. If you need better mileage, I hear Civics and Corollas get good MPG.

Maybe so, and that is impressive. But to date, no full size pickup has ever had "good" MPG.

Late model vettes get better then most Honda's. 436 horse,3300lbs,2.56 rear gear. 12 second qtr. miles and 180 top end. Gotta love modern technology. I have hit a best of 31.5 over a 50 mile stretch coming home from Florida.

take off your side mirrors, put on solid wheels. then weld some sheet metal on the wheel wells and lower your truck. that will net about 2 mpg, but you wont like tha way your truck looks.
