Looking into new 2013
If you trade every two years and use it as a car the $1600 air suspension is not for you. Yes, I know, it will help highway MPG, but given the short ownership and trade in value it is not worth his $1600.
I am also disappointed in the pricing of the 13. The same truck as my 12 is 2K more, hell add the keyless go I just pushed my RC 4x4 Sport over 40K MSRP. Makes me wonder if we will see a price decrease like we did from 09 to 10. I very possibly will be getting a Wrangler for my next new vehicle.

I've got to go with CarGuy, trading every two years wouldn't be enough to justify the air ride. I'd go with what's been proven to work on these trucks: 5.7L, 5-speed, and the coil suspension in the rear.
What model are you looking at: Larmie, Limited, Sport, Longhorn or something else?

I'm looking at a loaded up Sport with chrome grill.
What kind of grille are you looking for? The Sport is what you see in CarGuy's signature picture: color matched outer with billet inserts. The Express has color matched outer, but black honey comb inserts; like the one in my avatar picture.
Of course overall the grille doesn't matter. If you're looking for something different, you can always buy the truck and then buy the grille you want and swap them out, it's only like a 20 minute job.

I had a 2006 Ram 1500 with the V6 6 speed Manual Trans it was a nice truck but I end up hating the V6.
It a great motor but not enough for the heavy full framed trucks in a lighter smaller car or truck it would been fine.
The window sticker said the truck should gotten 22 HWY Never got close to it you always on the gas and working the motor hard and there went you MPG.
I have 2012 Now with the Hemi 4X4 it gets the same MPG as my old 2006 V6 2WD Man.
If I was you wait and let other be the test bed on the New V-6 one guys at work has the new V-6 in his mini van it been in the shop twice so far he drop a couple cylinders drop every time it been in the shop.
Oh ya we had a couple older Mini vans in the past with the V6 and there were great just think the truck power to weight hurts the V 6 in the truck.

Just thought about it, have you looked into the Limited model? I'm not sure if it's returning for 2013, but I think it'd be the closest to what you're looking for: loaded, color matched bumpers, and a chrome grille.
That being said, it could have definitely been a route to pursue so thanks for the advice War Horse. Fortunately, I was able to locate a Sport with everything I wanted and is being delivered to the dealer today.
I wouldnt own a truck if I didnt need it, I would drive a challenger, accord coupe, audi if I had the money, nissan 3z, or one of the sporty lookin kias or hyundais. shoot you can even pick up an early 2000's corvette in the 20s, power, handling, and with a 6 speed your looking at amazing mpgs while doing 80 on the highway
I wouldnt buy a 2013, I would wait on a 14, so they can get any bugs worked out. The air suspension is pretty sweet in my opinion, I've been waiting for a company to start utilizing it. 1600 for the airride is pretty much cost, so I think its worth it
