Default 2013 side step options

Hello everyone. I just traded my 2012 Grand Cherokee for a 2013 Ram Quad cab. I'm looking into options for side step rails. I like the factory ones but they are a bit pricey. I would like a set that mount close to the body like the factory ones. I'm not going off road (much) but I don't want any that hang low. Any suggestions for aftermarket step rails or suggestions on which ones to avoid?

I love the Power Steps by Amp Research. Unfortunately if you think the factory ones are pricey, the Amps will give you a coronary.

Do the 2013s bolt up the same way as the 2009 - 2012? My buddy has a 2013, and at least the factory ones on his bolt on differently than my 2009 factory set.

Looks like the factory ones use rivnuts and mount to the body. Mine on my 03 were aftermarket and bolted on using the body mount bolts. I also got a nice little bonus check today that will cover about 2/3 of the cost of a factory set. I'll look at others though.

Every set of side steps/nerf bars I could find for the 2013 mount to the rocker panel. I went with the Steelcraft 5" Oval Nerf Bars because they are easy to install and the only black steps I could find with a lifetime warranty. I paid $255 (they were on sale when I purchased, plus a 15% first time buyers discount from autoanything)

I ended up buying a set of Ionic Stainless 3" round bars. They mount to the inside of the rockers but also have a brace to the body mount.
