I really really want to get the hood with the non functional scoops for my truck, the only thing is that for now i'm leasing it. Does anyone know of any loopholes I might be able to utilize to gain this hood at a decent cost?

 

What hood are you speaking of? Pics?
Loopholes? Do you mean bargain prices...then no. Not unless you call every junkyard in the country to find a smashed up Ram with your hood..lol

As far as Leasing goes, if you put an OEM hood on, it wont effect you when you do a lease turn in. Only if it's an aftermarket part.
Anything Mopar performance will not hurt you.

I leased my truck initially because it was cheaper than buying it. I started modding it right away because I knew I was going to buy it. If your worried, just keep your stock hood.

Get one if you want. You do not need a loop-hole. Hell, guys get lifts installed on a lease vehicle and no one cares. That hood is a stock option so that won't affect anything.

 

Those are good looking hoods, I would like to have one too.

I'm pretty sure they're nonfunctional, but you can at least open it up and help it flow some air. You could probably find a variant that is functional though, for much more. After this lease, if I get another one I want it to have the hood, even if it's just for looks.

 

Do you know if the hood in the photograph is metal or fiberglass? I had a fiberglass ram air hood on my 08 thatI bought from sun coast and it was pretty spending getting a reputable shop to get the hood to fit right and paint it (burnt orange).

 

If it's the OEM option, it's probably steel. Maybe CDaddyDodge will chime in.
