Truck was sold before I could get there , dealer said it was a corporate owned truck. It seemed like a great deal 24 thousand for a 13 quad cab SLT 5.7 6 speed auto. Anyway I stopped by the local Ram dealership while I was down there and they had the perfect truck but I hate to buy brand new vehicles because of the huge instant depreciation. Ill keep looking. Also , sorry about putting the original post in the wrong section.

They are still offering incentives, no? That could make up for depreciation real quick. Also, if you are looking at brand new ones, you can get the V6 much cheaper. Just a thought considering you sound like you can easily live with the V6.

With the incentives that are being given, a 14 shouldn't be too much more than the 24.000 13 you were looking at. I'd at least price one before giving up on a new one

The 14 I looked at had an MSRP around 38K , they had a sale going on ( like always ) and the price would be about 32K. I should have stayed away from there , that truck was sweet , chrome 20s quad cab dark blue with brown / beige interior.

The red paint and the chrome 20's is what got me. Along with the hemi, 3.92 gears, limited slip, trailer brake, towing package, and did I mention the red paint?

The one that I just got was an Express quad with hemi, chrome 20's back up camera...hitch and spray in bedliner...6 speed auto remote cd player LSD 3.92 gears and some more stuff for MSRP 34,000, so Id say keep looking til you find one that will suit you. I dealt for 28,000. Mine wasn't RED though...lol Maximum Steel..kind of dark blue gray, that also looks black under certain light

Found another one Im interested in. Its a 2012 quad 10K miles ,chrome 20s, 3.92 lsd. I don't do any heavy pulling so I don't need that low gear rear end but maybe it wont make a huge difference in mpg. What do you guys think , Moparman and Old man with a hemi ?

In reality, you'll probably only miss 1 or 2 mpg in the city. These trucks do hade the MDS system that cuts down to 4 cylinders when it can, but I usually always have tow/haul on or I just use the manual shift and set it to 5th gear so MDS doesn't come on. When I first got my orders to Barksdale AFB here in Louisiana, I made the trip from Omaha, Nebraska with a few hundred pounds of "stuff" and I still managed to squeeze out 19MPG. Granted that nearly 90% of this drive I wasn't even in ECO mode so the MDS wasn't even helping me. That would most likely have been the fault of the 3.92 gears, however, i'll take it! My 2001 Durango with the 4.7L got me an average of 11-12 MPG regardless of how I drove it, so no matter what I was still doing great. Oh also, I forgot to mention that I never tow anything either. Never did with my Durango either, but I do have a hitch in case the need arises.

Mines an Express as well, just with some options checked. The MSRP on mine is 38k, but since i'm leasing, i'm only paying $10,500.
