A lot of aftermarket wheels are made to upfit on many different trucks that have the same bolt pattern so they will make the hub bore larger that way they will fit on a wider range of vehicles. I ran into the same issue on my new Moto metal wheels. They make hub rings that you can get to fit tightly over your wheel hub and into your wheel bore. This helps take the load off of your studs and also helps center the wheel so if you are having a lot of vibration with those wheels the rings could help with that as well. I bought mine through customoffsets.com but you can buy them on Amazon or eBay for like $20-30.
Here is a good video on them and some pics of mine.
Thanks for the pics and link. Went to Amazon and have contact a couple of places for the hub centric rings. Of course not sure of the correct size, went out to the truck with a tape and came up with about 3" on the hub and about 3.25" inches on the Granite Alloy wheels. Any advice on the correct size?
Thanks
The ID of the hub ring (2014 1500 CC) was 77.8 mm (roughly 3") and the OD of the hub ring (moto metal 962 wheels) was 110 mm (4.33"). The hub rings typically come in metric sizes. I would make sure you get a tight fit on them otherwise they will be worthless. You can measure with a caliper to get a more accurate measurement or what I did was contact sales@customoffsets.com and they made sure I got the correct sized hub rings.
