Default engine failure 2014 Ram 2500 6.4

Just wanted to share my disappointment with my new truck.A 2014 Ram 2500 with 6.4. Bought it in February 2019. It started knocking, had it checked@dealership. Cylinder 8 is bad.Dealer only offers they can rip it apart to further diagnose. Also,Nothing is covered.I'm under 100000, but its May.So the time just ran out on the warranty. I tried to ask them about the wrist pin issues on 2014s,but they claim to know nothing. I showed the diagnosis to another Dodge mechanic, he said with the findings, its the wristpin.Haven't even made the 3rd payment yet!Anyone else deal with this?

Contact DodgeCares here on this website. See if they can't lend you a hand.

Hi josiah,
We're sorry to hear about this happening with your new truck! If you plan to continue working with the dealer to have this addressed, you're welcome to send us a private message and we'll be happy to provide you with additional assistance throughout that process.

thank you. I sent a PM.Hoping to get some kind of help with this.I was just quoted 7500-10000$ to have an engine put in.They said it would be cheaper than trying to rebuild the one in it.

Also,I called Chrysler from the dealership that diagnosed it.Jen, from Chrysler, said they can't help because the dealership didn't diagnose the problem!? I said I paid 109$ for them to diagnose it, and I'm holding the paperwork with what's wrong in my hand! I read it to her, she said since the truck wasn't there(at Chrysler), and the dealer won't tell them what's going on she doesn't believe me.

Send another PM to DodgeCares, if you haven't already. Something is fishy in denmark.

talked to paula at Chrysler this morning. She said she couldn't see why she couldn't get them to extend the factory warranty since it's only a few months, and mileage is under.Except that it doesn't show me as the owner! So before she can do anything I have to email her a copy of my registration.I did, and called back@4 like she said to. I got a very unhelpful guy, named Christian, that just kept repeating your warranty is up and yes they got my updated info.I asked for a manager or Paula from earlier. He said managers aren't there today, one will call you back.I'm really doubting I'm getting a call back..

just wanted to update, I now have a case and case worker with Chrysler. I'm bringing it to another Dodge dealer and having the further diagnosis done. going to cost@400-500$. Then if it's the engine internally, they'll help.

well, trucks at dealership.I get told the first diagnosis I paid for, at first dodge dealership, wasn't done correctly.I had to pay another 110 $ to have it done again !Also, the next step, originally I was told 400-500$, now will cost 1200$!! Not happy, especially after sending the monthly payment in.Waiting to hear back from case worker, hoping something got mixed up.
