Hello I’m planning to change the oil in my truck(2014 Ram 1500 5.7 hemi Laramie) by myself since I got it and I can’t take it the dealer because it way pass the limit and I want to save some money rather then paying someone to do it. so I been wondering for awhile on what oil is best for my hemi to stay strong with high mileage truck? I been hearing mobi 1 full and the filter everyone say it don’t manner but if it for my truck it matters. So I wanted to hear from what you guys/ladies recommend for the oil and the filter.
Side note: Yes I do know how to change the oil.

 

Use the correct weight specified by the manufacturer for your engine. A high mileage oil won't hurt you any. Several companies have their own version. I use the Valvoline Max life.... (a dino oil. in the overall scheme of things, dino vs synthetic just doesn't matter, unless the manufacturer specifically states synthetic.)
