Default Losing Control

Good morning,

I have a 2011 Ram 1500. It has about 140k on it when I hits bigger bumps or pothothole at 25 mph or more there is a second where I feel like my steering is not on board. It is a spooky feeling and the whole front end kind of shutters. Last fall I had all new struts installed. My tires have 10k on them and newer wheel bearings. The dealership claims nothing is wrong. I dont see anything myself. Any ideas?

Inspect EVERYTHING from the steering wheel out to the tires. It helps to have a buddy help ya. Have said buddy move the steering wheel back and forth gently, engine off, see what moves that shouldn't, or, what doesn't move, that should. Also inspect ball joints and wheel bearings. Tire pressures correct?

Tire pressure is good, wheel bearings are good, ball joints good. I guess I got to get deeper. To me it seems like a strut issue, just the way it shudders for the one second. The struts were changed last October. Seemed better for a while. The mechanic said they were fine.
