RE: 09 Ram unveiling video
What happened to the V6 4.0 engine? they are still feeding that 20 mpg bull crap (haha I said bull just like that Fred Gwynne looking guy on the video) I love the F-150 interior look, but I still like my front bench seat. It looks alright, I want to see that Hybrid and the kind of mpg it will get and how much can it tow.

Hey hemi yellow. what sorta tranny options will be available for the 2010 ram with CTD. will it be auto only or will there be a standard shift available as well. I know I can still get a 4.7L with six spd in 09 but if i coudl get a rcsb CTD 4x4 with a stick shift I would be the happiest man on earth.

As with everything there are downsides, but overall I'm impressed. I love the increased horsepower and torque. As well as the storage in teh bed rail and back seat. I would have to way my options if the bed is narrower. Theonly down side I'm really seeing right now, is it looks like when they went to a crew cab, they went with the shorter bed like verybody else. That is why I like the Mega cab because it still had a 6'3" bed. It may be that long, but it sure didn't look like it. The looks aren't bad, but there are features that remind me of the F150. Overall I think I would buy one, but hopefully I can wait until 2010 when the bugs are worked out.
As for the Hybrid, it is suppose to be the same system that GM is putting in there Tahoe, I believe. It was a partnership to develope it between GM, DaimlerChrysler, and I think BMW. I guess GM footed most of the bill because they are coming out with it first. But it is suppose to be the same two mode system.

I'm going on a limb and going to say the same engine pack that you can get with the 08's you should be able to get with the 09's and up. the 6.7L with either the 68RE auto or the G-56 manual. and something tells me Dodge will still cut the power back on the manuals[:'(]
however a programmer will solve that problem. . .and then some

I like the interior a little, but it IS a little cushy for a truck. Where would you mount a CB if you got one? I love the bed rails and I can't believe nobody has thought of that before. I wonder if that bed is an option, or if it comes standard. I can see some construction guy's bitchin.
Are they not making Mega's anymore?
Are they not putting out a Ram with a Cummins in 08?

RE: 09 Ram unveiling video
megas are no more. . .the rear of the cab is being extended a bit more, not as long as the mega, but close. the rear door will be the full length instead of leaving that space between the back door and the rear of the bed.
there will still be a cummins, the contract Chrystler has runs till 2011 I believe.
one thing you have to remember, the 2/3500's will come out with the new body style a year after the 1500's.
