2009 Ram
It is $985 to upgrade to the 4.7 from the V-6 and another $945 to upgrade from the 4.7 to the Hemi.<2k to add 130+ hp is not a bad deal at all. That is like 20 bucks a month. My dealer hooked me up with a free Hemi upgrade rebatethey didn't advertise and it saved me the $945 on the window sticker plus allthe other rebates. With the rebates going on now, you can get a steal on the bigger engines. I bought a new 08 QC Bighorn Hemi 2WD a month ago. The sticker was 34.4k and I got it for 22.1k with 9 miles on it. I have the 20" wheels and 3.92 rearend. I drove it from the west coast to the east coast right after I bought it and I pulled a consistant 19-20 mpg at 80-85 mph. If you can get more HP/towing/resale and the same milage out ofa bigger engine, for next to nothing,I say go for it if you can afford it. Lord knows I would be driving a Cummins if it would have been within budget....
Fantastic deal, some of my dealers around here[for other makes] I've seen- tack on a" hard to obtain fee" I know I should leave this area when vehicle shopping-You really dont like getting sneered at-Kevin
