Default Why has no one mentioned the standard shifter?

After reading my brochure and going for my 5th test drive to fight off the withdrawl for another 9 weeks I decided to try these fun butons out.

Im thinking with the control and preformance of this option superchips and other programmers are obsolete.

I dropped into a lower gear and banged it out to 120 in nothing flat with the simple touch of the button yes I gave the salesmen a heart attack but it was worth it.

The only thing I really missed was the 6th gear, but most wont care since you really dont notice it until about 90 to 110.

its like the toyota and gm products the sport and laramie packages with floor auto shifters have two buttons on either side that you hit to shift up or down and what makes it better than toyota and the several gm products you dont haft to flip a button or shift over you simply shift gears at any time and the auto trans picks up where it left off.

Shift points and firmness is just one of the many things programmers do...up/down shift buttons aren't going to retune your engine.

BTW what happened to your truck dude...are you ok?

Funny that you mention your inspiring driving habbits and post a pic of the end resault, also I'm going to ask you way the rev limiter never kicked in, thiers no way the truck will rev past 3 grand locked in first gear.

Locking out the 0O/D helps the automatic hemu get up and go, but you need more than one gear to get it moving...

My driving habits didnt kill my truck I was hit by a drunk driver who ran a stop sign. Ive never have come close to hitting anything, nor have any of my trucks in the past recieved any damage of any kind, This was the first accident I have ever been involved in.

1-3 isnt a problem keeping it from going into 5th prematurely is the problem I brought it back from 5th to 4th and kept it moving.
