I want to take one for a test drive out in the highway and just floor it and see what it will do. The ones I was test driving a while back on the test drive course were not impressing me at all but it went basically about the same as the article though so maybe it will feel the same. But in my opinion the tundra will have it beat stock vs srock no question.

Oh well at least I can still toy with them in my truck now..

Tundras are faster 0-60 but the ones I rented with the standard i force and the 5.7 still didnt have any top end the fun ended at 80 even using the electronic shifter.

I was beaten by a camaro and a v6 mustang which never happened in my 06.

I dunno man, maybe a dud? Mine pulls hard well past 80. Only other truck to get me so far was a modded out harley davidson f150, but i kept up. Did you have all the traction control nannies off? Completely different animal. The best times, 0-60 and 1/4 are done with traction controls off and tow/haul mode on.

I mean dont get me wrong, i realize that with the huge aftermarket available to you guys, it isnt hard to get the hemi faster n/a, but stock for stock, its not that close.

I will say this though, the manual shift mode sucks. Even though the computer lets you "manual shift", it wont let you shift if it senses you shifting too early, and sometimes will shift for you if hold a gear too long, so you dont mess up the tranny. Just turn off the nannies and put it in D.

i got a 5.7l tundra ext. cab 4x4 to 117 or whatever the limiter was and it felt like it had more because of the 6 speed.

Yeah i havent driven the 4.7 i force, but its kinda retarded on my 5.7. Gotta hold down the traction control button for 3 sec, release, and then hold down for another 3 sec. This disables vehicle stability control (VSC) and traction crontrol, as well as engages the electronic LSD. Then press the tow/haul button. Seems like a lot vs just mashing the pedal, but its worth it. Makes it a freaking rocket.
