Why such poor tow raitings?
Who really cares if a truck rides like a truck? **** on that, I want a truck that rides like it's on a cussion of air, looks like it could win any show & shine, HP enough to kick some *** on the highway, and torque enough to pull my ATV's to the ranch when I go hunting. Guess what, Dodge built the truck I was looking for so I bought one. My whole point here is only you can determine what your needs are and purchase what suits your needs and style. I've seen to many people spend a **** load of money on something just because someone else thought it was cool or the best or what ever. It don't matter which truck you get as long as it does what you want to do with it. I'm not one to give a damn about commercials or articles that compare because none of them use a truck the way I do so what ever opinion they come up with don't mean **** to me. Which ever truck you buy for yourself is the best truck period! Jeff.
Right on the money

I'm a light hauler myself and the truck does everything I need it to!
1500's aren't workhorses, they are simply a bed to haul things around in and tow a small boat or snowmobiles as casual use. 2500's are for plowing and work related on a daily basis. 3500's are for everyday work and serious towing demands. Midsize trucks are for cheapo's doing things they shouldn't.

This thread turned into a bitchfest quick! A lot of you are squabbling back and forth like a bunch of 10 year old girls..."My truck is better than your truck...Nuh uh...ya huh....nuh uh."
Bottom line: We are all proud of our trucks and want others to be proud/jealous of us. Its human nature. Buy the truck that best suits you. You dont need someone else to tell you whether you made the right choice. Only you can decide that. We are all entitled to our own opinion. Thats what makes this country great! If you love what you bought, good for you. I love what I bought, and have zero regrets. No one can change my opinion. Period.
Enjoy the rest of the thread.

I think if you want a heavy duty truck to tow 10K around get a 3/4 ton or 1 ton. Most people buy half tons becuase they have a decent ride that they can drive around as a daily driver but still tow thier boats and smaller trailers around on the weekends. Half tons are great for towing up to 5 or 6K, but even the F-150 will have a hard time pulling 10K around on a regular basis.
