I have a dodge V10 and it only hits 310 Hp. The HP isn't very high but I have 450 ftlbs of torque at 2400 rpm..... and there isn't another gasoline engine made by anyone that hits that torque level to this day. And I drag Hemis.... and Ford sucks...

The basic truth is, long term loyal blue oval guys are pissed with Ford and going else where for thier trucks, the first time truck buyer is who Ford is screwing, over and over..

The best thing I can give foord credit for, is stearing me into A Dodge.

 

I have Ford F150, Dodge 1500, Cadillac, 2 Chevys and if you count the late model asphalt car, an Oldsmobile too.

I drive a Dodge daily (98 w/ 5.2 soild front axle-screw IFS 4x4 suspension) while my fun toys are the others listed. I am a Dodge & Ford fan but the 5.7L so called Hemi is garbage it shoulda been all aluminum. But thats my opinion. My F150 is getting a 520 cube 385 series Ford engine & being set up for the strip/street, The Chevys, I haven't decided yet. Every maker has its good and its bad obviously. Since GM has crate 427s, I think Mopar should have a crate 426 option for Daytona editions. Ford should bring the 428 back as an option for the Cobra editions. The New most recent Dodges I wont buy, So I will go with Ford on the recent models. On the 2nd Gen Dodges I will buy over the 97 - 99 Fords though. And Chevy pickups...... pssh nothing after 1987 since its the CV style junk pile. When I look at a truck I dont not worry about the ride quality, why? its a truck! Its meant to do work not feel like a couch. If ya want the floating like a butterfly feeling and nice pretty interior get a freaking Cadillac!!!

And to "Gotta Feed them Horses"...... I beg the differ, Ford produced a 534Ci V8 for industrial use that pushed out 481 ft-lbs & 1700rpms with only 1 4bbl carburetor & flat tappet cam.

 

In my opinion, If you need a towing truck, get a ford. I have to give it props when it comes to payload and towing. But I believe the TOTY has to be the ram. and dode is really relying on it to help them out. The new hemi is ridiculous. It seems like every few years 50hp is added. Its too bad the payload and towing couldnt be more to beat ford, but it really doesnt matter. If someones gonna tow that much(cause it can tow ample now) then get a heavy duty. I think the new ram is the most versitile truck in years. And one more thing about ford, the only ford i actually like is 1st generation mustangs. I have a 64.5. Its pretty bad (in a good way). This all is just my opinion.

 

My dream car is a Mercury Cyclone.. I grew up with Fords, but as time goes forward all the brands care abought is building the best truck that can be profitable, from design, to building, sales and marketing, building the absolute best, dosent allways mean brand A, B, or C can make money...

If works, break it and start over...Dodge, Ford Gm all do this...

Now I hope Dodge can earn my loyality as Ford is history..

 

I have always been a Ford guy, owning 3 up to my latest purchase of the 2009 Ram 1500. I studied both, had them parked in my driveway side by side, and a guy that always said he would never own a Dodge is now the proud owner of one.

And as I write this I'm staring at a add for the new F150 on www.dodgeforum.com what is up with that?

 

why do we not ban this guy?? every god forsaken thread i read from this guy is always trying to start fights every thread is "FORD IS BETTER" "WHY DOESNT DODGE MAKE GOOD VEHICLES" and other bs just like it. it's just some dumbazz kid trying to start fights ignore it. bro... if you don't like dodge fine but then go to some other forum because obviously people here do like dodge derrrrrrr.

and i'm sure pickuptrucks.com is a real reliable source. I have seen twenty different reviews of the new half tons and each one says a different thing. i've found some that say ford is the worst some say dodge others say nissan. it's all stupid.

 

Maybe he's gotten the boot already... I aint seen friggin twink on here lately. I hope I see him at a stoplight in my '09 Hemi... it's always hilarious to see a Ford trip over itself!
