Default 09 Power

So with the added horsepower and torque of the 09 Hemi, can you FEEL the difference over the 08 Hemi?

That's a tough question because the truck is a completely different feel. It rides completely different. It's just so much smoother. I drove the 09 and i'm actually glad I bought my 08. I bought my ram over Ford because the Ford just rode to sissy for me. I like it like a truck and the 09 is nice, but there are a few hings I like better about my 08. I like that my stance is higher and I like my side mirrors better. The little things..lol
I think the jump in hp will definatley be felt when towing a heavy trailer. The 09 does feel jumpier than my 08 off the line but once moving, it's just smoother. Anyone that tells you it feels so much faster is full of it. Unless the trucks were identical one with more power than the other. It's just hard to distinguish when your driving 2 different style vehicles. There maybe a slight difference some can feel but alot of it is manipulation because of the ride quality and stabilization.

After programming a 06 5.7 liter with a superchips flashpaq, The 09 shifts faster and has less distinction at the top end stock from 60-105 (oh did I mention your speed limiters set to 105 now).

Which with the added power and capabilty for faster runs you dont feel any pull at the top end like the older hemi needle would stop racing at 90 and would sluggishly move up to 140 and at this speed it felt like the cab was shaking like an older model corvette.

Which you feel nothing, its like a viper at high speeds sticking ot the road even on the crappy factory tires, with no cab shake the only thing holding this engine back a little is the mds and the speed limiter.

So long story short you feel the power gains at top end this truck can easily top out at 160 and handle it, the transmission's functon and performance is what pushes this thing of the line so quick and if you want massive burnouts you gotem turn of the esp and youll slide across the intersection with smoke pouring out the back but this is also where I was talking about where the mds holds you back because if you dont find the sweet spot slamming on your throttle midway its difficult to do it putting it all the way to the floor and getting the same reaction due to the slight puase from the mds.

MinatorHemi8, first off let me tell you your truck is awesome, congratulations on it! I had no problem detecting the extra power in the 09's I test drove. It felt to me the stock 09 Hemi CC would definitely outperform my 04 Hemi Ram QC mid range through top end. My 04 had a K&N intake.

I say yes, it's noticable. But it's deceiving, because like dirtydog said it's sooo smooth!! it handles great, the steering isn't jumpy, it doesn't lurch when it shifts. Even when it shifts shifts @ 5,000+ rpms. You don't feel like your on screech, but you look down at the speedometer and your doing 75 mph before you even realize it!
