Default 09 mds

My friend has an 09 and I had heard that there was an indicator when mds was active in the 09s. He either doesn't know where it is or it doesn't exist. Any ideas?

I dont have it on mine. (Yes, Ive read the manual too). Its pretty obvious when the MDS kicks in, you can see the rpms drop big time. At 70mph, Im at 1500rpms. My 05 Ram (Without MDS) sat at about 2000rpms at 70mph.

No indicator but a buddy of mine rigged an LED indicator in the cab of his 08 to indicate when it was active. There is a wire under the hood he tapped to make it work. He showed it to me on my truck. Don't care enough to do it.

If someone could verify that the procedure for adding an MDS indicator is the same on the '09 as it was on the '06-'08s I'll change the "DIY" I made to include it.
You might want to check it out in the "DIY" Section.

Thanks...
