I have a gmc denali with nav that does the same thing you're describing with respect to the DVD continuing to play even if it's not selected as a source. I think that's pretty normal for it to play unless you explicitly stop it. Totally different NAV unit however.
however, it doesn't sound right for it to be playing while the car is off. That is definitely bad!

My gut is telling me is that it has to do with truck thinking it has a VES. I do not have a VES but with the lockpick it now thinks it does. You can play a rear enterainment system even if the radio is off up front and I think that is what is happening. My wife has an Acadia with a stock rear dvd and it will still play while the radio is off.
Scotty, I have tried every permuation to get it to stop. If I am in the truck and driving along and I power down the mygig unit, the dvd still advances.

I ran through a troubleshooting routine recommended by lockpick. It turns out that the unit stays active for 45 seconds after I exit the vehcile and hit the lock button and becomes active as soon as you hit the unlock button. This is why the DVD's are advancing. I am not sure at this point if it is the Lockpick, the mygig or a combination there of. I am going to remove the lockpick altogether and send it back for a swap and to see how it reacts after it is removed. This is an annoying issue.
