Default 4th gen 09 weekend review

have driven an 09 HEMI just got back from hauling a double axle with a rhino fully loaded and 3 dog boxes with 10 dogs food hunting gear 2-5 gallon gas cans coolers with a 1500 hemi 4x4 and it average 9.3 mpg doing 80 mph to texas over 560 miles
my dad has one as a demo for his dodge dealership and it did good we raced on the highway on a previous trip and it pulled the same in first but its second gear was way better and he started to continually edge out ahead

i would have to say they are very nice trucks and we passed a couple of nice trucks and every one slowed down to check they 1500 09 ram blowing by with a full load and i have the coil over in the rear is one of the nicest things ever some of you might think you have a nice quality of ride but hands down it is the best ride for a truck out there it puts my 04 to shame and the 08 he drove before that to shame in ride quality and the quality wasnt even comprimised when he was fully loaded down it still rode smooth as a pretty ladies breast i had to say i was truly impressed but they do pull good and didnt lag to much at all while pulling up hills great package i know what i am getting in about 5 years used an 09!!

There was a nice 07 dodge fully tricked out and he kept riding right next to it checking out the package and i would say they draw looks like no other truck out there but for those of you thinking about getting one take it off road then go over the same stretch and yours and you are like were did all these bumps come from i thought this was assphault and the hemi pulls great and and still averages 13.8 mpg with 500lbs of gear in the bed and 3 guys 225+ riding in the cab it really is amazing how much farther this truck has come

Yeah dodge really hit the nail on the head with this truck. They took the high points of everyone elses truck and combined them. The interior quality of the new fords, the smooth ride of the GM and the bad *** power of the HEMI. Finally one automaker has figured out how to combine several aspects to make an epic truck. And that coil suspension wow that has gotta be the best idea developed in the new line up of new trucks.

I looked at an 09 at my dealer. Took a close look at the coil suspension it is quite impressive. I have not seen any on the road yet. I really want to drive one though

the coil over can only really be appreciated when you drive it you will never want to go back and the interior is sweet i spent 8 hours in the back seat and it wasnt all that bad and im 6'4" had to do a little wiggling but could find a comfortable spot and road noise was almost nothing solid truck and i like how the front looks resembles the charger to much in my opinion though

Ram boxes anyone. Its been done before(see avalanche) but never to a real full size truck. The ideas here are amazing.
