Adding a backup camera
Rear view camera kit Mopar Part # 82211184 I paid $224.25
Still waiting for it to arrive. Scheduled delivery shows 6-30-2009
I have the Lockpick installed and I love it. Got it through Nav2go on Ebay. $199 shipped.
Without the Lockpick I believe the Rear Camera needs to be activated by the Dealer.

Well I do know the dealer camera is over priced because you have to buy a new handle since it comes mounted in the handle. If you are going dealer route and installing it thru the TIPM you WILL be paying the dealer to starscan it and make it work....and of course they will have problems where you will be the culprit because you installed it. Go with a ccd keyhole camera on Ebay for around 100 bucks and you will be happy, they usually come with drill bit and everything i put mine on the right side of the door handle which I believe is opposite to OEM but I have an after market power tailgate lock which saved my a few bucks, anyway you drill a hole in either side of the door handle, suggest you do this with the hand off the truck you could slip. Once cam is installed you need to run a power, ground and video cable to the Lockpick box, you hook the power to the corresponding wire on the lock pick and the ground on the ground of the lock pick and the video cable with go into the white harness, everything is clearly marked. No 100 or 200 dollar trip to dealer you can do other things with the Lock Pick as you know, it gives you rear VES if you want it, give you one extra 12V constant and one ignition powered for other things in the future like maybe video monitor for back or dvd for back whatever just as long as it's under 2 amp or something like that. All the info comes for 189 on EBay get the V3 Lock Pick or the new on that is out allows for like 4 or 5 cameras, I have one front and back and the the one in the rear handle clearly shows the trailer ball and also anything behind me directly and for quite a bit back, my front camera comes in good at 8mph on its own for parking keeps from tapping that big nose on the front of the truck LOL. My wife likes to watch movies while driving it is allowed with this, she does it as a passenger. I put on headphone or she does depends on who gets to the radio first LOL. Good luck, the fun is routing the wire but if you put it in loom to protect it then follow the frame rail on the drivers side, if you have trailer wiring you can hook up to it what it mean is wire tie the wires you are routing to it then when you come into the truck I drilled a hole the just fits the loom thru the clutch hole cover, it is plastic and the passed the look thru and siliconed it to seal and wind or water, all wires then go to my lock pick which if you have the sport you could put a spare car battery behind the bezel and the console...so much room under there for wiring etc. so you can locate the box anywhere and I ran a usb cable from it into the glove box where the ipod cable comes in for updates to lock pick, you can also just put it right next to the removable panel on either side of the center console if you have it and just have the wire in there. but I wire tied the plug onto the lock pick box did not seem to fit tight also tied it to the metal brace in there so it is easy to get to. So many options, you can even hook up and after market camera to the TIPM on the truck if you want to, just follow the instructions for the wiring, you wont have the plugs and stuff unless you order the wiring kit but then you will be getting back to the point of why you bought the Lock Pick in the first place you didn't want the trip to the dealer.
