Dodge Warranty
If you have read around, you know my truck has wind noise that is annoying as hell.
Took it to a dealer today.
Agreed the wind noise was excessive. Needed to keep it a day to a week to pin point the area the noise is coming from..explained...tape this off. Drive check...until its found.
Took a spin in another Laramie to confirm mine is excessive. Confirmed.
Time I got back they had called i assume. No longer was it excessive enough. Chrysler will not pay them to fix it.
Shop manager told me about a customer who brought his vehicle in running bad under warranty. The serice dept diagnosed it as the fuel injectors and replaced them. Chrysler demands...I am quoting..that every part the service department replaces be sent to Chrysler for inspection. In this instance, Chrysler said the injectors were fine and will not pay the dealership. Shop manager said he lost 3000.00 on that one and it happens all the time.
If something breaks and need parts for your 2009 you get to wait a week or two. Dealers have not been issued 2009 stock parts yet....and Dodge does not do loaner cars anymore.
Told me is was best for me to deal with Chrysler and have Chrysler tell the dealer to fix it.
Otherwise the dealership probably will not get paid by Chrysler.
The dealer will not perform the warranty work on mine...fix the excessive wind noise.
Here is where a link with phone and e mail to plead your case if you have an issue.
http://www.chrysler.com/webselfservi...m%28%27R%27%29.
He suggested I sue to get the work done...unreal.
This is nuts. I am 47, I have been buying cars for 30 years. First time in my life I have regretted seriously buying a vehicle...usually stay really happy for at least a month.
Now I am only pissed its taking up space in my garage.
I paid an extra 1500.00 to get the extra all inclusive warranty...longer
It is nice..it rides great..good power...luxury car. Wish I could give it back. Wish I had never bought it. I really hate this.

That sounds odd to me. I think you should try a different dealer. I have had issues where one dealer told me one thing and when I took it to another, the car got fixed without even a question....
Have you tried calling chrysler directly?
Another thought: Was the truck in an accident that was repaired improperly before you bought it? Maybe that is why chrysler is denying the claim. The dealer wouldn't want to tell you that they wrecked your truck and repaired before you bought it.
I say you go get a second opinion at another dealer. Don't even mention your first visit to the dealer at the new one.
I hope you can get this resolved!
Good luck,
Corey

The truck I took them has a few miles on it now but I have not wrecked it yet.
I bought it with 3 miles on the odo.
Its pretty obvious its brand new. The suspension is still clean.
Its almost a month old now.
I might try another dealer.
However I believe what the service manger told me about them dealing with Chrysler.
These techs and managers seemed ginuinally nice honest people....wanting to help.
Sounded odd to me too!!
Chrysler has been written. The link to that info is there for readers here.
Rest assured I will be calling.
My truck WILL get fixed and not out of my pocket. Just should not have to bother with this.
