Default Fuel Saver Light ???

New guy here. Just bought an 09 1500 4x4 w/hemi. I have been trying to find the Fuel Saver Light or message. Been through all the menu options, oil temp, trans temp, coolant temp etc... but I cannot find any place where a Fuel Saver Light or message comes on when I am just cruising down the frwy. I either don't know what to look for or the darn thing is just plain Broke. Any suggestions?

I don't think such a light exists. I guess you are referring to MDS (turning off 4 of 8 cylinders when on the freeway). I think the only way to tell is to watch your RPM gauge.

09 Rams built before December 08 do not have the MDS indicator on the message center. I do not know why that happened, all 09s were to have it in preproduction news releases. My 09 was built in September and does not have it.

BTW, you will not see any change on your tach when the MDS kicks in and out.

That is what has been reported on this site. I have not verified by looking at a newer truck, but the poster seemed to know his stuff.

Mine has it. If yours had it, it would be pretty obvious when it comes on.

Darn Again...My build date is October 08. Anyone know if a flash or something is in the works to allow everyone to have this feature?
