The 09 2500 is identical to the 08, the 08 Identical to the 07, 07 identical to the 06 and so on.

THe 09 hemi is up to 390 h/p the 09 has the 6.7 Ctd, othier wise, your getting a solid, well built, sturdy truck, that rides like a truck, hauls like a truck, and is so much more of a true truck than the 09 1500.

One item that well never ever be mentioned in any review is the stock rims stick out in the fenders, the BFG R/T T/A trap a lot of rocks in the tight tread coumpound and are great for removing paint on the lower rockers, if you want to go to a larger tire than the 265 70 17, you need fender flars.

BTW, the one I have my eye on has Fender Flares, rocker panels and Maxxis Bighorn Tires already on it.

BTW, anyone know if you can put 06 tail lights on an 09?
I don't care for the bulge's on the 09 tail lights. (gives it a half assed ricer look)

I have heard the light sockets and wiring are not the same on the 06 or 07, tail lights I like the amber lights on the 06 front head lights that are not on the 07 and up, I'm kinda interested in the new design of the HD Ram, when it appears, I don't know.

Despite what this site says in the description, Zed, you might want to stick in the 3rd gen Ram section, since that's what you have, unless you have an engine problem, as it should be the same as in the 1500s (aren't they the same power output).
As far as the tails, I'd replace them too, but you're going from two bulbs to three bulbs. I'm not sure, but I think I heard said that all the tail wires are black and not color coded. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I could swear I heard that posted.

If you buy a 2009 2500 or 3500 make sure the dealership adresses this issue.
