Yesterday I did a long range one tank run (Pittsburgh to Harrisburg and back) and about 20 miles from home the low tank light kicked on and the DTE stayed at 35. No use in taking a chance (with the wife and kids in the truck running out of gas on the Turnpike woiuld be a major negative) so one exit from home I cut off for a fill-up and it just took 23.5 gallons.
However, I take the good advice on staying above 1/4 tank for the sake of the pump.

I love this thing it is so accurate!!! went through the first tank today! My light came on at 30miles left and low fuel light came on. Took 23.6 gallons lol. Best I got was 15.7mpg! To me that was great!! I love this truck. Mpg will get better now that I know what kind of power it has. HAHA!!

 

wow. i only got 10.8. i also have 3.92 rears and there is less then 600 miles on the truck still. this was also straight city driving in cold weather.
