I have a Sport on order but for fun I continue to look at the current dealer inventory online and bring up the window stickers. The window stickers list a locking tail gate.

I have never seen a keyhole in any of the tailgates on the lot. Do these just lock with the keyless entry?

 

No, the first trucks made didn't have the locking tailgate. Now I think they are all coming with the lock in the tailgate.

 

Damnit. Not only did I not getting a locking tailgate, I didn't get a backup camera.

Maybe I can order a new tailgate latch with room for both? That would be sweet.

I ahve an early Laramie and you can order the parts. The part numbers are posted on another thread. I ordered everything to add the locking tailgate and the camera except one of the parts is backorded with no availability. Parts guys said Chrysler is not paying its vendors and is getting cut off by certain suppliers.

Also, what was the total cost?
