Question Radar Dector Install

Has anyone wired a radar detector to the overhead console yet? If so where did you splice into?

Thanks

Look no farther than these three links! I cant say enough about the radar detector! It's got sick range and the GPS to mark false locations is priceless!

They will let you try it for 30days no risk.

Radar Detector:

Power Cord:

Mount:

I've been running this setup for over two years and its fantastic. Detector is right below the mirror, powered by the mirror and turns on when the car starts.

Never worry about being too lazy to put your detector up or the crappy suction cups failing.

You can also get the Bel GX65 which is the sister to the Escort 9500. The Bel version comes with the red light camera alert and photo radar alert standard. Either one is a great radar detector.

I installed mine into the overhead console. Just a couple of torx screws and you are in there.

I wired it directly into the rear sliding power glass window lead. Just use a tester to find a lead that powers only when the ignition switch is turned on and splice it in. I got a universal plug adapter tip from radio shack so I can change the tip and plug in anything from a GPS to any other Radar Detector without having to pull another lead wire.
