You can also put hose clamps on the hinges for cheap. It will atleast make the gate harder to steal. If you have no lock. A thief told me.

BTW - other then being able to opening the door - does that Valet key serve any other purpose?

 

That key will come in handy if say your battery dies....

 

So if I'm ordering the backup camera from Dodge, which comes with a new tailgate assembly with lock in it - which of these other parts do i need? Can you provide a description to match the part numbers?

OK,tailgate assemble with back up camera is around 400 bucks,do not have numbers for it. Parts for manuel tail gate lock are 173bucks.Still do not have all parts yet. Lock cylinder with keys on backorder.

I've confirmed the camera comes with the tailgate assembly, I just hadn't confirmed whether that assembly contained a lock or just a place for the lock.

 

I would love to have the back up camera option, but do not have the screen. Can I get an aftermarket radio with a screen and make this work., or do I have to get the mygig or whatever dodge calls it and go with theirs?
