Default dual exhaust install on slt

Hi there

Chances are my next truck will be a 4x4 hemi SLT quad cab,

As you may know, Dodge decided for some reason to offer the slt "plus" pacakge which includes the dual exhaust on the crew cab, but not on the Quad Cab.

I would like to keep the resonator, but change the muffler and have it exit as a dual exhaust at the back

Is there any kits out that would allow me to do that ? any suggestions ? How much is a rear bumper ? I really like the clean look of the new duals.

i know there are a few kits out there. i have an 09 quad cab that came with the dual pipes out the bumper. i already replaced them with a flowmaster, new pipes, and tips though. it sounds mean now

really.. i don't know why you wouldn't just get a crew... by the time you add all the stuff you want to your quad you maybe could have a crew with the same stuff installed from the factory with a warranty

The 6 feet 3 inches bed in the quad cab is the absolute smallest I can live with.

I agree with you , the crew is great, it's a shame I have to decide between interior room and decent bed length . To make things worse, the new dodge is longer overall but the quad cab interior is smaller compared to my 2006

I wish dodge offered a real 6 foot and 6 inches bed crewcab in the 1500 like ford or toyota. My racebike or atv would easilly fit in the bed, and the larger interior would keep everybody happy.

oh i understand now.. but a bed extender wouldn't help you?

Im one of "THOSE" people who buy trucks and hardly use the bed. I like the seating position, customization options, power and many other things about trucks... but hauling & towing aren't as important to me.

Maybe they will come out with the new version crew and full size bed in the 2500 or 3500 series in 2010

Stick with the Quad. I like something I can put my atv in and shut the gate. Anything shorter than a "typical" short bed is just too short. I don't know why they couldn't make a 1500 crew with a 6'3" bed. They once made 1500 quads with 8ft beds.

They did once make 1500 quads with 8ft beds and almost nobody bought them. It would require a fair amount of work to extend the chasis to hold both a crew cab and a 6'6" bed. Currently the quad and crew configurations are very similar, so there is not much added cost between the two offerings. Offering a 6'6" crew version would be expensive for Dodge and would not pay off they decided.

I see a bunch of 2009 f-150 supercrews on the road with the 6.6 " bed. And ford also offers the 5.6 " for those who prefer a smaller truck. Nice to be able to choose

well see if you can choose an f-150 with a rear multi-link coil suspension. Or see if you can get one like mine with the back leather seats being heated and cooled.

do they offer a 390 HP hemi?

how about a 5 speed transmission?

maybe a lifetime power train warranty?

each company has their pluses and negatives. maybe next year dodge will come out with the bigger bed.. but for me.. the new ram out everythings the f150 (except out tows which i dont care about)
