Default 4th Gen Ram Technical Service Bulletins & Rapid Responses

I would like to create a thread (sticky it if you like) that includes all TSBs and rapid recalls.

Issues like the OAT gauges, backed up mufflers, leather seat wear & now flying off trim pieces need to be in plain view so we don't get redundant questions.

So if you know of a recall or rapid response on the 4th gen ram can you please post all the needed technical info here so others can go to their dealers with accurate and vital information.

Hopefully this thread wont turn into a discussion about the problems, but just a place to get information about how to remedy them.

I was told the rapid response # for the trim on top of the tailgate is RRT 08-101.

I keep an eye on the NHTSA for myself and my daughter.
You can look for recall's, TSB's or complaints.
Obviously not a real great source of info but it is what has to take place for action. Does not include mfg TSB's.
Its the place to report a problem anyhow, and maybe get something fixed for everyone.

http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/

The only one for the 2009 Dodge Ram.... a complaint.
LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:TAILGATE:LATCH

Not sure why my seat wear complaint is not there anymore. Look again soon. Must have been the only person who filed a complaint so they dropped it.
For those with seat wear issues fill out the form. Its a real problem for my butt. 2 trucks, same seat, same wear. 2 seat covers in 900 miles truck 1. Truck 2 needs a new seat cover, 400 miles.

off the top of my head, heres the RRT's and recalls for vehicles that each one applys to:
RRT:tailgate plastic molding/cap---insp & replace if necessary
RRT:AAT sensor & overlay harness, insp TIPM connector
RRT:dual exhaust muffler (QUIET exhaust only)---replace
RRT:ram box lid caps (black plastic)---insp & replace if necessary
RRT:spark knock & idle quality---flash PCM

recalls
VECI label---replace (only about 600 trucks affected)
air bag label (canada ONLY)---replace

as far as i remember, thats all of them
RRT's and recalls only apply to certain VIN's. some vehicles may get more than 1 (maybe all of them), some may get none.

Yes be sure the rrt applies to your truck in further discussion with a technician that got my self installed Mopar bluetooth module and REN radio he told me the reason it could not be make to accept the Star Scan or whatever was the dealer before did an RRT for something that did not apply and well cause 14 hours of labour just so they could bill Chrysler for something that was not necessary.
