2009 Dodge Ram offers 12 different spring rates for the trucks.
Spring mfg has to insure the same springs are put in the crate then label it correct.
No idea how they sort and ship to Dodge.

When the truck arrives its an impressive frork lift operator that works with the dock foreman to sort the parts. These crates are stacked for easy pick up.

There is a fork lift operator that keeps the line stocked. He/she goes to the stock of parts crates and keeps the person working the line full. Sits with a crate and waits for the line person to wave him in and give him the empty crate.

There are 2 forklift operators for each line. One for each side with his/her path to the parts.
Might be more than one line...2 or 3 lines..or more.

Changing from one auto to another is an event you can't miss, big lighted signs and certain noises or tunes play. Usually do it at shift changes when the line does stop for a few minutes.

I have not seen a Dodge assembly plant but at the others its to loud for the right side to talk to the left...easily. Everybody wears ear protection...its loud.

With 12 differnt springs all in the same color and type crate you can see how this can happen. With all that goes on its rather amazing. There are not 12 lines.

Supposed to not happen. My door handles just stupid.

The wrong spring rate being installed wrong I get. All in the same type and color crates.
Might be a few differnt color crates but not 12. Springs all the same color.
Still, there are measures in place to prevent that too. Human measures.

Noticed the same thing on my truck Left side down. But just thought it was because I had a full 32 gallons of gas in the truck? Maybe not? But 32 x 8lbs = 256 lbs. So it is like another person sitting in the truck...Gee. If it is down and people behind me notice it, they will think I'm so fat as to squat a 1/2 ton down....LOL. I'm going back to the dealer on Friday. I'll see how hard they laugh at me and say "see ya latter schmuck!"

have measured the difference in rear bed height several times now, most of the time it's about 1/2" lower on the driver side- not great, but not as bad as when i first noticed it (1"). today was the first time in two weeks i've backed into my driveway, and noticed the lean was more pronounced to the left- measured the difference, it's back to an 1". seems to be worse when the truck is facing downhill, every other angle it's about 1/2". anybody else notice this with theirs?

I never park on level ground, so the truck never sits level. Is your driveway level? Have you checked it?

Mine is also 1" lower on drivers side. Full tank of fuel too. Could that be it?
