Found a Decent Place for a Concealed Handgun
So, I was looking for a place where I could have a concealed handgun in the truck and it didn't take too long to find, so I thought I'd share in case anyone was thinking about the same.
My criteria were:
1) I didn't want to have to drill any holes into the truck
2) I wanted to spend less than $20
3) It had to be within easy reach
4) The handgun had to be completely concealed
5) It had to be easily removable
I noticed there's a metal plate under the seat and it moves with the seat. In the middle of it there's a rectangular hole. This allowed for me to pick up a holster with a belt clip for about $14 at the local Academy Sporting Goods store and attach it right to the metal plate. The gun is now hidden and it's within easy reach. And if I need to, I can pull the whole holster off, clip it to my pants, and off I go, all in 5 - 10 seconds, but holds on well enough that I can easily pull the handgun out without it coming off. It does move side to side, but that hasn't really been a problem for me. I figure one could also easily get a velcro strap and just strap it to the plate. Might do that if I decide I don't want it wiggling side to side.

Sobomaster, can you take some pics of just the holster where you have it? I too have a concealed carry license and have been just carrying in the center console. I do have the clip on holster from academy but couldn't figure out where to attach it. Same criteria about holes in the truck. Thanks. Jeff.
Is that good enough to get the picture? I don't know if this applies to all seats, but I have the heated/cooled bucket seats.
