The Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos are a terrific tire. My parents had them on their Durango and a buddy of mine had them on his 01 Ram. Both loved them and sang their praises.

4L does the trick. Sometimes I wish I had it. I have a 2wd (wouldn't need the 4wd except for the ramp (1 - 2 times per week, 6 months of the year) and didn't want the lower mpg & higher price).

With traction on, it cuts power way too often and you don't make much progress. With it off I spin quite a bit. Wider tires solved all of that on my last truck.

Ok now i get it. I didnt drive the 2wd so i'm not sure how the traction control works on it. My truck is 4x4 with LSD and wrangler AT's so i'm sure it's night and day. Have you tried loading your bed down? It's a cheaper alternative to tires and a little redneck but it'll definately help out. With the dimensions you gave i worry about rubbing, clearance is always and issue. O and you can deflate some air out of your rear tires at the dock and then fill them up again before you leave.
