I only experience rubbing (against the control arm) when the wheel is cranked full turn moving forwards (it doesn't rub full turn in reverse - not sure why).

Default Welp wish me luck... pulled the trigger on BFG KO 305/55/20s

They go on tomorrow. Haven't had time to put the Bilsteins on it but hope to do that Saturday and then an alignment first thing Monday. We're going to check clearances on front and rear for rub(KO is 12.3" wide on 9" supposediy) so it may be ok. Height isn't much different from the stock Goodyears.

Also instead of running the Bilsteins in the top slot(2.75") I think I may start with them in the 4th slot(2.2") which would leave a slight rake in it. If I run at the top clip I'll be 99.9% level and I don't want to have to add a spacer to the rear to compensate for the front looking a little high(illusion but... we'll see).

I'll post up pics once I get the tires and then again with the shocks/struts levelled.

As it has allready been said Sobomaster, the 305/55/20 is the same diameter as factory size being 33''.The 305/50/20 is 32'' in diameter, being 1/2'' shorter on the sidewall.I personally had a set of the nitto terra grapplers in sze of 305/50/20,and thought they were to small.....Being dodge trucks have such large fender well openings.IMO,the 305/55/20 would be the better choice!!!!!

Fair enough. I think the 50's look just fine. A few dollars saved and potentially slightly better handling when cornering too. Also a 305/55/20 will rub more on stock wheels then the 50s.

Yes,you are correct. The 305/50/20 will corner better, and stick to the asphault like glue!!!But some ride quality will be sacrificed, due to the lower profile tire.Just for a note:the nitto terra grapplers have a nobby feeling to them at slow take off speeds, but have extreme traction on wet roads, and snowy conditions.

Got 305-55/20(33x12.5) Terra Grapplers on stock wheels. Stock height, no leveling/lift. The only rub I get on the street is at full right lock going forward. Full right lock in reverse doesn't hit nor does any left turn.
Haven't had the truck on the trail yet. Wheel is turned a bit in the last pic which is why it looks offcenter in the pic.

I have not noticed the "knobby" feeling at take off. They aren't that aggressive.

Default Here are my BFG KOs in 305/55/20:

There is no rubbing at stock Laramie 4x4 height fyi. They are very close to the upper A arms(like ~3/8" away) but so far I have not had an issue with anything.

Also - I installed the Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks/strut cartridges Saturday set to the 4th clip position(2.1" lift) which leaves me a little bit of rake still. The 5th position would have leveled it completely(2.8"). I just had it aligned yesterday so the toe has been corrected. I'll get new pics up once I get it cleaned up.
