Default hemi 09 engine??

Trying to do some research on the 5.7 hemi 2009, as to of it is made
1] How does the eng. differ from the toyota 5.7
2] how many spark plugs does the hemi have and where are they located?
3] Just reading in the maunel they need to replaced a lot sooner on milage than your normal , plug say 100,00.... Does this apply to having to change the plugs
4] Does it rail injection, or the throtle body?

Thanks for your input

You will not get to many correct answers (only opinions) on #1 since not many here can give any real comparisons (most not knowing Toy)
2. 16. And for a Hemi newbie, they are located in the middle of the valve covers.
3. 30K. They are standard copper champs. While I am not positive with the 09 the Hemi does not like the temp that platinums run, therefore they use copper and put it on a more frequent maintenance schedule.
4. Gas is supplied to 8 individual injectors, not through the TB. Does anyone use TB for the gas anymore??? That is not efficient.

Even though the hemi is not a true hemispherical design anymore, it still resembles one very closely and that is the main difference in the engines. There are quite a few articles out on the web about the new Hemi engine. Google it.

1] the toyota engine is 32v, not 16v- 32v helps it make it 381hp at high rpm, but hurts low rpm torque off the line. also, it has ohv, where the hemi is a pushrod design.
2] 16 spark plugs, 2 per cylinder, not sure where in the cylinder heads
3] copper sparkplugs don't last as long as platinum or iridium plugs, but that's what it was designed for and supposedly runs better on
4] eight injectors, one per cylinder, don't know if they're above the cylinder spraying down the valve bodies into the cylinders, or if they're in the cylinders themselves

1. 390 HP 407 LB. FT!
2-4. dude it's got POWER! and a lifetime warranty

No seriously, the 09 Hemi Truck engine is the New or Next generation hemi. It has Variable Valve Timing, is more efficient, Multiple Displacement System or I call it "Semi- Mode" get it Hemi. . .Semi. . .anyway. I'll have to look for it, but the testing it went thru is reeeediculous. Heated with no coolant to almost 300 degrees then shock cooled with 25 degree coolant to test fracture and it lived! The only thing they share is an electronically controled throttle and the dispacement. Although I haven't been able to get cubic inches for the new engine. . .

They market VVT but I am pretty sure it is really VCT (Variable cam timing).
