Buying a new Ram 1500!
I am looking at a Ram that has a msrp of 38,370. Dealer told me it's mine for 27,747 and is giving me a fair price on my trade in. I am delighted!! But I read here some think dealers should be knocking at least 12k off sticker. Should I try and has anyone here got a 12k off sticker deal? Also looking at one at another dealer which I have not talked to yet that stickers at 41,670. Thanks for any info and hope to be joing the 4th gen club soon.
$13,841 CDN (31.82% discount) off $43,500 MSRP including $600 free MOPAR accessories + dealer ate remaining 8 months of my '08 lease!
Converts to $23,300 USD out the door.
$850 to add electric exhaust cutout, CAI & tonneau.

Bountyhunter got a good deal.
I got 14,500 off sticker on a truck at 42,230 and a fair trade in. No dealer in Austin wanted to give me that so I did drive 100 miles to Boerne to get it, but it was worth the extra $2,500.

Man, I didn't get anywhere NEAR that much off. Mine was about $6k off. I guess that was because the truck only stickered for $28k and some change. I got it for $22,125 plus tag/tax.

Boerne Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep? At least it's a scenic drive, i used to live near Boerne, worked there for years...
Anything $10k off and up is a good deal. Don't get caught up in trying to get what everybody else did. A lot has to depend on the dealership and how desperate they are to sell a vehicle, how much volume they do, etc... You can always try, but don't be afraid that you are getting a bad deal if you are over $10k under MSRP. Is getting close to the end of the month. Next weekend (not this upcoming one) would be a perfect time to work a deal.
