Default Oil change intervals?

So how often do you all change your oil? 3000? 6000? or whenever the EVIC says to.

I've been changing mine every 3000 but I think I'll start changing at 6k like the manual says. I've already changed mine 3 times and its just too much for how much I'm driving now.

I change mine about every 4000 since I do alot of stopping and going on the way to work in the traffic.

I'll go 6000 and document it. I am not worried about it. I always go 6000+ and never have had a problem in any vehicle.

I plan to change mine every 3K or 6 months. I live in a small town and do a lot of short trips. During the winter I doubt I hit 500 miles per month. The summer I may hit 3K in 6 months. Looking at the schedule in the owners manual for maintenance, it has things arranged on miles or time, whichever comes first. Its nice being retired and still in my 50's.

These trucks have a built in computer system that monitors your driving habits and tells you when to change the oil. I believe I will change the oil when it tells me to.

The engine has a viscosity sensor in it. As your oil breaks down the computer will tell you when to change it.

If you switch to full synthetic oil you can go about 7500 before the EVIC comes on to tell you to change the oil.
