Default 4" Lift Kit for 2009 Ram 1500

I have a friend at Mopar who told me about the new 4" lift kit for the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD pickups. I don't have too much information on the kit, except that it's now available and fits crew, quad, and regular cab trucks (except for TRX models). It allows for up to 37" tires and requires minor modifications. He told me that the cost is under $2,500 and that the part number is P5155393. I'm going to check today to see if my dealer knows any more about the kit and will pass it along.

I think it's just spacers and not suspension, that's why it doesn't fit the TRX4. The spacer is already installed on the TRX4 to make the ride higher and have more ground clearance.

We have spacers on the TRX4? Mine looked the same height as a non-TRX4 4x4. Are they on the front, back, or both?

The front of the TRX4 has a 2" higher ride height from a spacer and the rear has upgrade HD shocks which makes it ride a little higher as well. I've compared mine to others and mine is clearly bigger. Maybe you havent looked close enough

I was too excited to care...

I wonder how big of a tire we can stuff under there without rubbing?

Not sure, i'm going to stick with the stocks until they get some good wear on them. Then i'll lift it and throw on 35's. I've got plenty of room in my tire wells for a larger tire, i'll take some measurements later and let you know..

Yup, i can wait, not one to just throw money away. According to Superlift our truck is an average of 1-2"s taller than other 4x4's. Leveling kits wont work for us because they are already level. I imagine we can fit 35's but with rubbing on sharp turns

We have 32's right now with plenty of room. 35's are going to be 1.5"added to the radius which won't be a problem, but the added width is what worries me. The 275/70/R17 has a 10.8 inch section width. A 35x12.50 may just fit without rubbing.
