I am glad I came across this I was gonna change to Synthetic in fact Mobil 1 cuz it's on sale and also Valvoline Synthetic is also. Maybe I will stay with regular oil for now. My engine sounds fine, in fact I am gonna put Magnaflow and make it sound better.

Add the magnaflow, nice deep rumble! I love the sound of mine I have the 24" after I installed I kinda wish I had gotten the 18" but I then added superchips and it made it quite louder on the 93 tune.

Seems odd that only Mobil1 causes the noise. If your engine doesn't like to be too clean, there's probably a tolerance issue and maybe a problem down the road. If your truck is still under warranty, leave the mobil1 in and take it to the dealer then take it from there. I've been using mobil1 one since the first oil change (now at 30K) without any noise. I'm sure others here are using it without problems>
