They do look good on some truck, I don't use them to get in and out, but they do cut down on door dings, most car doors will bang the steprail not the door unless its a taller truck.

I got a door ding already and I think it was a car. It depends on the shape of the door.

Don't like the looks of them, but since the truck came with them the wife already likes them. Plus, the kids can get in and out with my help and kicking all over the paint with there plastic Hanna Montana (Hanna Patana as my 2 year says). . .
