How do I get this crap off. . .
The dealer puts this crap on the entire truck and it is really quite annoying. They use "autobutler" and I have no choice but to pay for it. it was like $300. All their vehicles get it as soon as they get them. Anyway, I have tried denatured alcohol, rubbing alcohol, scouring pad, rubbing compound, I think I have some wax remover (can't find it), but that probrobly won't work because the dealer told me "not even wax remover will take this stuff off. . .that's how good it is. . ." B.S.!
Any ideas? It seriously screws with my night driving. . . I think when they applied it to my truck it was windy or rainy and they put it out on the lot too soon. I live in Arizona and the dust gets every where!

Looked closer at what they did to mine...just assumed it was the same since the symptoms sounded the same.
They put a product called "Auto Armor" on mine. This application gave me a....lifetime paint warranty contract....
For that product leaving; wet looking spots; just rub until it goes away....on the paint....in other words sorry I posted...wrong product.
There are plenty of sites with opinions for the best care methods for clear coat paint.
The product was not on my glass.
Cheers

That sounds like a REAL GOOD REASON to buy your truck from a different dealership. Just be sure to tell them you are buying elsewhere because of their paint protection scam. They put it on every vehicle because they make money on it, not because the paint needs that stuff applied to it.
Well, to save thousands because I shopped around and all the dealers knew it, to save the $300, it wasn't worth it. Becasue they put it on ALL of their vehicles, they can't take it off. Sometimes I wonder with protections like this are actually applied, mine I can see it. The security system and paint protector are the only things not listed as an option on the truck. And I'm with you, if it's not listed on the window sticker they can't charge you for it. This option however I'm stuck with. It is listed as tax title license and other fees to include pre-applied paint protection. Oh well, all the dealers around here do it because of the sun and dust. I just wish it was applied more carefully.
Drove the truck last night and it is better but still annoying, I HATE dirty windows. Today it's not suppose to be too hot, I'm gonna wash the truck and see what happens. Wax it with my own stuff and put on the sunglasses. . .

Actually, I purchased from Earnhardt Dodge in Gilbert. The Ram had the auto butler and security alarm in it. I told them I did not want either. The dealer subtracted the cost. Basically got one free wax job. They took out their cheap security system.

Tucson Dodge was at rock bottom I think on price for the truck. The sticker was 35K and I walked out the door for 23. I just washed and waxed the truck, used a cleaner wax and the the Meguires NXT wax. Looks great, but still got all kinds of grime on the windows. I', tempted to try CLR, atleast that should get the hard water spots off. I may just take it to detailer and have them buff the windows.
