That's a very nice description of what wifi looks like in a dodge! It mentions using a 3G cellular network for internet connectivity. Does anybody know what the coverage is like? Does it use an existing carrier like, say, AT&T or Verison? Having something like an iphone essentially gives you web browsing capabilities, but is limited during long trips across the country by the coverage provided. If chrysler offers better coverage, that would be an advantage...

I bailed at that point, because many of the places that my Ram takes me are miles beyond (and above) the last cell tower. (But, it never fails that there will be a powerline in the shot if I pull out my camera...

How different is this when compared to getting a data card for your laptop from your cell phone provider? Seems they both run on the cellular 3G network, so speeds should be the same. The only advantage I could is if you're running a wireless network in the truck with a printer.
I asked about it when I bought my truck. All the sales people had heard about it, and they even had the units for sale in the parts dept, but none of them had seen it come already installed in a vehicle.
