I know what an x pipe is, I've had many mustangs with in my day with x pipes. Im just wondering now since I have an 09 Crew sport 2wd hemi which x pipe should i buy cause from expierence i know that the only way to get real rwhp from an exhaust mod is to get rid of the cats or put high flow ones on. so which x pipe or h pipe aftermarket will fit under these trucks with no problem?

I noticed that magnaflow has dyno charts showing a 12HP gain just using a new muffler. Yet, you guys are saying you won't see any real gains in HP. What am I missing?

12hp in a 5500-6000 lb truck would be barely noticiable if noticed at all

You are talking about kits that you buy off the internet that bolt up/fit in. You will not find anything like that for a 2009 Ram. You can however take it to a good exhaust shop and have duals run through an x and out the side, back, up through the bed, curve around and up through the hood. Point is- It's exhaust pipe that can be bent and manipulated in many ways- The x is just that-an x

Default Mufflex Exhaust Systems

Hello everyone. New to the forum. I have looked throughout the forum but have not seen anything mentioned about Mufflex Exhaust. I saw the product line on ebay and their web site. I'm sorry if this is on the forum and I'm less than intelligent in finding the post. Thanks

It has been discussed here. It's basically a magnaflow muffler with some extra pipe so that you can install it without welding. You can get a muffler shop to install the same magnaflow muffler for less.

Awesome sound/performance. Slice out 9" of pipe and hook it up (no welding). Full 3" butterfly...stock to WFO, less than 4 seconds.

If you live in an area that does not have yearly inspections, you will likely go unnoticed unless you use them in front of a cop or something like that. But, if you do have inspections and they are not legal, you will be out of luck unless you have a crooked shop.

From the PA code specifying inspection fail criteria:

(1) A vehicle specified under this subchapter
shall be equipped with a muffler or other effective noise-suppressing system in good working order and in constant operation. A muffler or exhaust system may not be equipped with a cutout, bypass or similar device and a muffler may not show evidence of external repair.
(2) The exhaust system of a vehicle may not be modified in a manner which will amplify or increase noise emitted by the motor of a vehicle above the maximum level permitted by Chapter 157 (relating to established sound levels).
(3) Headers and side exhaust are permitted if the vehicle meets the requirements of this section.
(4) An exposed exhaust system shall be equipped with an adequate heat shield or protective system.
(5) An exhaust system shall extend and discharge completely to the outside edge of the vehicle body, including a truck bed, or as originally designed.
(6) A firefighting vehicle is exempt from regulations concerning exhaust systems, mufflers and noise control.
