Hey,

My remote start function fails whenever the battery is dissconnected.
I took the negative off for a radio upgrade and no remote start.

Took it in to the dealer and the tech said it lost its programming. Had to tell the computer it had remote start again.

Took it into the dealer for that wiper motor recall Monday....and some other things. Thought about it to far away to bother going back.
Sure enough when I got home no remote start. I expected this...read on.

Blinks its lights, once. Blows the horn, once. Locks the doors. Does not start.
Both times the battery was disconnected the same outcome.

I took the negative off the first time. I assume the dealership did replacing the motors.
Obviously they did.

This remote start was added at the dealership. Did not come on my sport.

The tech said he would make some calls but I have heard that from him before.
I had a 2009 Laramie that had remote start when I bought it.
Point being, it had its negative cable removed twice too. Never failed to remote start so I know this is not normal.

Just looses the remote start. Nav fav's, station presets, hard disk, etc, all good

Anybody here know enough about remote starts to help.
