Default Armoral???

For the dash and inside plastics, what would you guys recommend. Since Armoral is very shinny I am wondering if it is a good choice. The dash is brand new and not shinny. I want to protect it as best I can, with the best possible product. Thanks Much.....John Ps....Should I forgo any product and just keep it clean with a mild solution of soap? How about Windex on tinted windows? Safe or not. It's the "Solar Guard" brand tint. I am going to check their web site. Thanks for your input.

I have used Mothers back to black and liked it. I too would like to hear some opinions.

Armoral goes nowhere near the inside of my vehicles!

I had a friend that detailed in Vegas. He said that if he ever caught me using Armor All on one of my own vehicles, he would have to kick my butt! He swore by 2001.

As far as the windows go, one of the brands makes a cleaner that is safe for tint. That same friend said you don't want to use ammonia based cleaners on the tint because it can discolor some of them. Not all, but some. I bought that one that was safe for tint and used it on my 5% on my Dakota without a problem.

I use ArmorAll on my dashboard, NOT near the radio area but up top. Works good keeping dust off. I also use ArmorAll window cleaner, much better then widex.

I use Meguiar's. It has UV protectant properties, doesn't leave a nasty greasy slime and you can use it on everything inside the vehicle including the electronics, the nav screen, leather, rubber, whatever. And it smells nice

I also heard this product was excellent. But on the screen and electronics?

everyone has their own personel choices for cleaners but in all honestly Amoral causes plastic and pleather to crack and dry up.

It looks nice for awhile but if you stop using it for awhile it dries up the material causing it to crack in the sun light.

Id go with Mothers interior clear wax spray or turtle Wax's new product Ice interior cleaner. Windex is okay for the outside but I was told by the guy who installed my window tint it could fade it and has happened on occasion<but its never happened ot me>.

Armor all was originally made for vinyl dashes. It soaks in, but it also dries it out quicker because it attracts dust and is silicone based. I just use cleaning wipes and leave it alone. I hate the shine and reflection on the windshield.

But yeah you talk to a good detailer and they all will tell you that crap is just that, crap.
